Real Estate Gives You Freedom

Ryan Serhant, realtor and star of Million Dollar Listing New York, noted in an interview with REC’s Jas Takhar: “Real estate gives you freedom.” What made this business so appealing to him is that no one was able to tell him what he could and couldn’t do. Serhant’s goal was to not limit his success, and he’s proven that he’s capable of going beyond buying and selling property.

If you want independence, being an agent is one of the best courses of action for a career. You get to choose your own hours, you have the option to do as much or as little work as you want. You eat what you kill. If one wishes to surround themselves with a team, that’s also a highly beneficial option. You can work 13 hours a day, 7 days a week or you can take 4 months off. Nobody makes you go out and hustle; you can be your own boss, your own entrepreneur. Every success and every failure is completely on the shoulders of the individual. What you achieve is based on your own merits.

You can achieve so much through real estate from a financial and entrepreneurial standpoint. Success can be continuously built upon; success begets further success. Selling more is always an option, it’s practically an endless cycle. It’s possible to get to a point where you can obtain financial freedom and settle in your own comfort. There is also the option to focus on other business ventures, utilizing the funds accumulated with the time you’re able to set aside (if desired). Creating a diversified portfolio beyond properties is attainable, and not so difficult with a strong amount of effort.

For REC Experience host Jas Takhar, being a real estate agent has given him opportunity to do exactly what he’s always wanted to do: provide value as much as possible. He has a true drive and passion for sales, but assisting people has always been his favourite aspect. Jas surrounds himself with people who can let him step into the leadership aspect of the job that he has crafted for himself. He brought in a team of talented individuals to handle the creative aspect in different fields in order to spread out his ideas even further. Without being a real estate salesman, Jas would not have been able provide the level of content he does now and keep expanding upon it.

Real estate let’s you do so much more than just sell properties. It gives you a comfort level depending how business focused you wish to be. The potential to be successful while working part-time or building a business empire is entirely up to the individual.
